Old Town Theatre, also known as the J. Philip Gibbs, Jr. Centre for the Performing Arts, is a historic 348-seat gem located at 1023 12th Street in the heart of Huntsville, Texas’ downtown square. Opened in 1947 as an 832-seat movie theater, it was revitalized through a million-dollar renovation by the Friends of Old Town Theatre, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. This intimate venue now hosts a variety of live performances, including plays, musicals, concerts, comedy shows, and film screenings like the Prison City Film Festival.
